A name is a source of identity and pride for a young child. Learning to read and write it is a milestone and for many, the gateway to becoming an emergent reader. In fact, The National Reading Panel specifies that by the end of kindergarten, children should be able to write their own first and last names and the first names of some friends, classmates, or family members. The ability to accomplish this task shows evidence of the child’s phonological and alphabetic awareness as well as their fine motor skills– all of which play an important role in becoming a capable reader.

My daughter is 3 and obsessed with writing her name and playing with the letters in it. This app is the perfect way for her to keep practicing.
This app is very good for little kids who are just learning how to spell their names. My daughter made me and my wife our own lockers in the game and she is practicing our names too!
Im very impressed with the variety of activities in this app. Seven Academy really covers all the bases for name reading and writing. My kid loves the personalizable locker. Well done!
This is an amazing app! My kids spend hours playing it! The night ninjas are awesome! For my 5 year old, we made lockers with our address and phone number so she could practice. Well worth the money spent!
